Volunteer at United Way York Region
Volunteers are the backbone of United Way. Year after year our volunteers’ energy, dedication and commitment help us reach our goals.
From canvassing colleagues and employees for financial support, to participating in numerous committees and boards to ensure transparency and improve public awareness, volunteers are a dynamic and essential component of everything we do here at United Way.
We have many important and fulfilling volunteer opportunities that will support the community and help make a better future for our region including event and operational support and our Community Investment Committee.
Event Support
There are currently no event-related volunteer opportunities. Event support includes, but is not limited to, set-up and take-down duties. Please check back with us in June to learn about our 2013 Toromont CAT Dragon Boat Festival.
Operational Support
Throughout the year, United Way York Region has several volunteer opportunities that enable us to run our United Way operations, and we definitely couldn’t do what we do without you. By donating your time and help, we can continue to strengthen communities and improve the lives of many across our region. Opportunities will be posted here as soon as they become available.
Community Investment Committee
There are currently no opportunities on our Community Investment Committee (CIC). Opportunities include membership on the committee and subcommittees to advise on investment decisions.
