• United Way of York Region is a member of United Way of Canada – Centraide Canada.
• Today, there are over 100 member United Ways – Centraides across the country. Each United Way Centraide raises money and allocates funds locally to support its community. 
• Each local United Way is autonomous and independent

Areawide United Ways

The Areawide partnership is a cooperative of the four United Ways in the Greater Toronto Area: Peel Region, York Region, Oakville and Metro Toronto. This alliance enables large corporations to run seamless cooperative campaigns.
